Welcome to the other side...
It's a pity you weren't here yesterday!
Questions we often ask our clients:
We’re a small group of unpretentious, straight-talking graphic/web designers who enjoy building “brand spaces” that everyone can enjoy
Content is King
As is good design
A brand message is only as good as it’s content. We focus on helping our clients distil their message.
we’ll fix your site
Because it needs it!
Are you really happy with your website – Seriously? If you are, you’re probably deluded!
Love your logo
It represents your brand
We design nice, clean fresh and attractive logos and brand collateral – to make you proud!
Welcome to Side A
Because we don’t spend any energy on SEO, you’ve either been referred or have more through luck than judgement arrived at our domain.
I’d be interested to know how you found us!
Anyhow, If you are in the market for a company to design, refresh, polish, update, socialise your brand, you might be in luck, because that’s what we do!
My name is Simon and I, along with a core group of good designers, help clients who need to create or refresh their brands. Luckily for us there’s loads of work out there so we can concentrate on working, rather than looking for work!
Why are we so busy?
To be honest, I’m not sure. I guess we’re quite proactive (awful word) we usually hit the ground running and we’re not afraid to question our clients about their motives. Oftentimes clients/prospects will use us to sense check ideas, apparently they appreciate honesty and a fresh pair of eyes. Either way we’re delighted to do what we do, we often enjoy our work and we serve very good coffee – if you like it strong!

About
TBW: Cool | Calm | Collected
We’re a pretty casual bunch!
We don’t stand on ceremony, so if you’re looking for suits and boots, we won’t be your cup of tea (which is a builders brew incidentally).
The goal of any business is to attract and maintain the attention of their audience. This is what we can help you do!
Marketing isn’t rocket science! It is simply a case of understanding what your customers want and building a brand that gives it to them. Sometimes however, businesses are so close to the coal-face that they find it difficult to step away and think about their client’s needs.
Side A is a business that looks at ideas and concepts that help businesses communicate better with their audience. Whoever they are, they will have attention triggers, things either visual or verbal that make them sit-up and pay attention. What we do is work with our clients to help them isolate these and make them consistent across their entire communication portfolio.
We can help within four distinct marketing areas:
Do you have a tangible strategy to take your brand to market?
Many companies stick to their original marketing means because it looks as though it will be too difficult or time-consuming to change it. When you factor in job security (no-one ever got fired for sticking with the same agency/strategy), pain of change and expense concerns a lot of companies find it safer to stick with what they already do…
Does your brand make you smile?
If it doesn’t, then you probably need to change it. Do you wince inwardly when you look at your website? Does your brochure make you grimace? Is your logo ugly and out-of-date? None of these are terminal problems and you have it in your power to change it. We can put you in touch with professional graphic designers who can help make a big difference to your brand in a very short space of time…
Is your website satisfactory?
The first thing you do when looking at a new organisation/supplier is to Google them (fine… you could Ask for them, Yahoo them or even Bing them, but the point is the same!) we now intuitively search for information about new business partners on the internet. The question is, does your website answer any questions a visitor might have? No? Then you need to change your website…
Nothing beats face-to-face communication!
Be it a conference, a sampling campaign, board meeting or product launch – only a live event can really convey all 5 elements of your brand (sight, sound, touch etc…). In days gone by I used to be given seven figure budgets to plan global events and whilst those days are gone, there is still space for a wow love event.
We are different from the usual run-of-the-mill marketing companies, in that we help with the strategy and content of the campaign, tactic that you are planning and then we help you select the right freelancer/organisation to deliver it (trust me, this saves you lots of money!). I was delighted with the concepts and whole approach that Side A came up with and I can throughly recommend them to everyone who wants to develop or grow a business with a professional tailored approach.

A redesign and an elevation of this brand in the marketplace helped Tract move up a tier within the Office Furniture Arena.

B2/Live Worldwide
Transitional periods are always difficult. We helped Live Worldwide dissect and re-approach their clientele and then merge into B2 exhibitions.

The world according to Side A
Doing myself out of work… Again! In my recent web 2.0 perusing I found a cool “build your own” website set-up called Centrally. All you early learners will already have logged and blogged this months ago, but it’s worth a mention. This weekend I was at a 40th birthday party… Usual conversation: So what do [...]

“Doh – Me and my big mouth!”
I’m clearly not clever enough to be regarded as an expert in this field, but I am asked often enough that I felt it important to have a position on it!

Developing a value proposition is based on a review and analysis of the benefits, costs and value that an organization can deliver to its customers, prospective customers, and other constituent groups within and outside the organization. It is also a positioning of value, where Value = Benefits – Cost (cost includes risk)
